Photographer, Megan Jade is currently residing and working in South London after graduating from Kingston University with a BA in photography. Portraiture is Megan's specialism, working both with clientele and model's for her personal projects. Megan has always had an interest in photography but has been studying and practising from 2014 up until 2021. Megan is now a freelance photographer balancing between creating work for commissions and personal projects.
Working both on location and in studio, Megan specialises in directing and creating shoots that often have an open ended narrative- allowing the viewer to create their own concepts and relate to the images in their own way. Megan's personal work has a fine art approach with a lot of it including mediums such as paint, props and the use of specific clothing to help create a lead for a narrative. Megan creates lots of work surrounding mental health and the human body, with a specific focus and aim to break stigma and society norms surrounding the two topics; her 'Paint' series is a successful example of her work that questions mental health stigma and norms within society.
